I am now the proud owner of one of the world's ugliest digital cameras. That's right, the hideous Canon G5 (Sam, your guy was outta town, and his replacements were anal, so I got it from somewhere else). Sorry Asad, gotta start with the small league first, besides the Rebel was simply too expensive. Anyway, now I gotta start learning photography.
I've also been a little sick, hence the infrequent updates.
I had a stupid Ethics in Engineering seminar today, attendance was mandatory (you won't graduate without attending this!). I took a good supply of white paper with me, cuz it was the perfect 2 hours for sketching. It also gave me a chance to test out my new sketching pens.
But it was the worst ever. In all the nunmerous sketches that I did, there isn't a single one that I could proudly show someone, creativity, skill, at it's lowest ... very depressing.
What else? I just got a cartoon call from the Varsity. Haven't done anything for them in ages. Sounds fun though, except they want it by tomorrow so I gotta go work on it now.
.
i'm getting a digital camera for eid/post exam celebration.
i'm getting that panasonic one, the lumex or something? i don't know. the one with the leica lens and 12x zoom. what do we think? is it good? i'm sadly lacking in dig. camera knowledge, so help would be appreciated.

Well, I don't know much either. My strategy was to "buy whatever Sam has". His new camera is too expensive for me, but his older one is more reasonable, and he recommended it, so that's what I got!!!! Other than that I don't have a clue what's good or what's not.

congrats ... who cares what it looks like as long as it does the job relatively well.

the g5 is an excellent camera and you still have tons of manual things to play with. You can always upgrade later. The 300d will be a black hole for your wallet after the inital purchase you'll have lens after lens to buy it never ends.
