New Laptop question mark
I've been extremely lazy in updating the site recently. I haven't taken any pictures for a while either. Well, actually I have. But i'm too lazy to process them.
I think a part of it is because I'm getting increasingly frustrated by my ageing laptop.
I got a Toshiba Satellite, which is only a couple of years old. But it's already burnt up a hard disk once and the fan noise is becoming excrutiatingly annoying. I've taken the fan apart a billion times and cleaned it, and it gets better for like five minutes before it starts screaming again.
Also I'm working with higher and higher resolutions for print projects these days, and working on them in photoshop when sometimes it takes a few seconds each time you want to draw a simple line, is not fun.
I've been thinking about getting a new one, the new Dell Inspiron 9400 to be exact. The only problem is that I'm not sure if it would be the wisest decision, financially, to get a new laptop at this point. Maybe if I get a big design project then it would be more reasonable. Anyhoot.
In other news, legofish got listed in css-mania and css-empire, which makes me happy :D.
.
just bought the Dell inspiron 9300 w/ 17" screen for slide scanning. I love it. Price was reaonable too. Love your photos. This is my first stop at your site. Hope to see more.

wow man you did all of your work on a laptop ? that's amazing, I guess I am too spoiled with the 20" monitors. Have you thought about the new Mac/Intel laptops ?

I bought the Acer 1694 and I'm really enjoying it. Let me know if you are serious about buying one. A good friend of mine has a computer store and he'll probably be able to give you a btter price.

You may have bought your laptop the time I'm writing this commnet, but why don't you give Apple a try? The Powerbooks are a lil bit expensive but they're well worth it. Even the ibooks (both 12 and 14) are great.
